4-H Facebook: Don’t forget we have a 4-H Facebook page!!!! We post 4-H Blasts, 4-H contest results and neat opportunities to do in 4-H! Make sure that you “see us first” in your settings. Step 1: Like the Page, Step 2: Click on Following, Step 3: See First, Step 4: Turn Notifications ON! Then you will see all 4-H posts when they arrive!
Market Day at the Yards:
The Milam County 4-H will be hosting a 4-H food challenge on June 22nd at the Market Day at the Yards! The kids cooking event starts at 10:30am but the Market Days starts at 9am and last till 1pm and there will also be Play Streets at the event! Come and enjoy some fun food and activities. The Yards are located at 301 Adams Ave, Cameron, Texas 76520 just off hwy 36. There will also be a competition for the BEST SALSA with Adult and Youth divisions, as well as Best Restaurant division. Salsa must arrive at The Yards by 9:00AM registration time, judging to begin shortly afterwards and winners announced by 10:00AM.
Rockdale Fair Rules Updated:

Club Manager Training:
Tuesday, June 25th, 5:30pm, Cameron, Bea’s Kitchen (Club Manager Training, Recordbook Judging)
Please mark your calendars to join us for these meetings!!!! It is required for both club managers to attend. Charter paperwork will also be required at this time!
Recordbooks: Recordbooks are due June 24th. County Recordbook judging will be June 25th and District will be July 11th. If you would like to go online and get your forms (still need to be updated), you can go to: https://counties.agrilife.org/mc4h/4-h-activities/recordbooks/
Milam County 4-H Awards: The Milam County 4-H Awards are now up on the website and will be due June 24th at the County Extension Office. Award interviews will be held July 9th at the Extension Office. Work on those applications soon! https://counties.agrilife.org/mc4h/4-h-clubs/awards/ Some require recordbooks and some do not.
Summer Day Camps:

Pinterest Camp: Pinterest Camp (used to be FCS Camp) will be July 16th at the Bea’s Kitchen in Cameron from 8am-12pm. We will be doing some fun activities related to Pinterest at this camp! This is also a new time than last year. You MUST register for camp! Admission to camp is 1 children’s book to donate.
Photography Day Camp: Photography Day Camp will be held July 29 at the Cameron Chamber Meeting Room. Ages 7-11 will meet from 8am-11am and ages 12-18 will meet from 1-3pm. Limit to 15 per time. The kids will learn about basic photography and how to take the right pictures. Please bring a phone or camera. You MUST call to register for camp!
Playstreets: Lastly, we will be holding the Playstreets family fun day at the Cameron Elementary playground starting July 16th from 11am-1pm. Please come and have fun with us! No registering required on Playstreets activities. We need helpers for this event!!! Please let Micah (firstname.lastname@example.org) know if you can. It would be from 9am-10am to set up and 1pm-2pm to clean up and then anyone to come and help play games with the kids during the events! Please sign up to help!!!! This is great for record books and awards!
