Rockdale Fair Dates to Remember:
Ownership and Tag-in dates are as follows:
Milam County Validation Dates- State Fair and 2021/2022 Steers and Heifers: Last year Covid-19 restrictions forced our hand in minimizing the number of people attending validation at one time. While that is no longer the case this year, this was a blessing in disguise because it showed us that 2 validation dates and locations works better, reduces paperwork mistakes, and cuts down on drive time for exhibitors. This year we plan to implement the same process again with a location in Thorndale and a location in Cameron.
Below is information on Spring Validation dates for Milam County 4-H & FFA State Fair Exhibitors as well as 2021-2022 Steer and Heifer Exhibitors:
Validation #1 THORNDALE
Validation #2 CAMERON
Reminder: No breeding heifers will be validated without the original copy of the breed association registration papers present at physical validation. Papers must also show the exhibitor as the sole owner of the animal at the time of physical validation. Payment for Heifer Validation is $15.00 per heifer and is due on the day of validation.
Parents, if you are not able to attend validation and plan to have your child’s project brought by someone other than yourself, you will need to pick up a State Validation Hold Harmless Agreement form from the Extension Office prior to validation.
If you have any questions, as always, don’t hesitate to contact Floyd Ingram at the Extension Office: 254-605-0226
